Whenever Two or More...

Tonight we enjoyed a gathering of family and friends around our new fire pit that Sheryl masterfully constructed today. We had awesome veggie and chicken kabobs and then we promptly roasted some marshmallows until perfectly golden and crisp. Chris and Gail (Sheryl's sister) and their kids are in town and our friends, the Batsons, came over. We sat around the fire and talked about life and faith. Chris told a "bed night" story in the glow of the camp fire to all the kids. It was perfect.

It made me think...where would we be without the love of Jesus? Where would we be if He had not allowed His body to be broken and blood shed for our sins? Where would we be had He not met in that upper room and broken bread with His disciples?

Though centuries separate us from that night, one thing binds us all together. The fellowship we share in Jesus is a beautiful thing. He is in the big and the small...the deep conversations and the mundane. And He was with us tonight.

Love this. You are blessing others through the blessings you're experiencing. Hope you and all the Thomases are doing wonderfully. Happy Easter!
