Many prayers for those caught in the middle of Katrina. Last night before bed we talked about the story of Jesus calming the storm. The girls were so amazed. This morning while watching the news and seeing all 9000 of those people in the stadium in New Orleans Maddie said, "Some of those people don't know Jesus but he's going to protect them anyway." I pray that that is a prophetic word.

Lord, bless your children along the gulf coast. They need your comforting hand. Let your glory shine so that men and women, boys and girls may come to know you.

Maddie sounds like a special little girl who has obviously been taught well by you & Sheryl! May God protect all of those in the path of the storm!

Justin, I also think alot about what you wrote, but I don't have any answers.....

Out of the mouthes of babes! What tender hearts your girls have BST...certainly a reflection of the kind of home they live in!

May God be glorified in whatever happens during/after this hurricane. There will be much work to do...time for God's love to be shown.

thanks for the post. we appreciate people thinking about us. so many times, the gulf coast states (louisiana & mississippi & alabama) are forgotten.

There was a protection of those in New Orleans. May they know God will provide what they need and it's not only up to them to rebuild their lives.

thanks BST...we have family in Houma, which is south of New Orleans (yes there are places SOUTH of New Orleans!), just north of Grand Isle where the Hurricane came ashore this morning. They never leave home when a storm hits, and did not this time either...so we are so very grateful for prayers being lifted up all over...what a precious daughter you have who already understands the message of the gospel...He wants them all.

The simple, trusting faith of a child is refreshing, encouraging, and convicting. With faith as child . . .
