So many thing to pray about today. Let's pray for our country and that we will watch how we behave with each other over the coming days. It's one of our gifts here to be able to vote. Be sure and take advantage of that right.

Please be in prayer for Jeff Nelson. I just got word this morning that the doctors found a large mass in his colon and he will be having surgery tomorrow to remove it. The biopsy seems hopeful that it's not malignant. However, the surgeons are treating it like cancer and removing lymph nodes and everything. Please, please be in prayer for him. Jeff is a long time friend and mentor. I am not sure I'd would have even known what worship ministry was had it not been for his leadership.

More later.

BST et al....the word I heard was that Jeff's surgery would be today (Tues)....regardless of when the actual procedure is taking place, prayers will be lifted up for sure!

actually, talked with Jeff this afternoon. He said the surgery will be either in the morning or tomorrow afternoon depending on when the surgeon can get him in. He also said that the recovery will be quite extensive--moreso than they first thought. He will be in ICU for 2 days and then a lengthy recovery from there. We just really need to pray that this goes well and that they can be spared from having to deal with a bag prognosis.

Praying for Jeff...

Please Lord, protect your servant Jeff Nelson and bring mighty healing to him TODAY. Reward his faithfulness and his love for you with a miracle, and give him the strength and the opportunity to share this mircale with the world. Lord, give the doctors that are caring for Jeff wisdom and understanding beyond their present abilities and enable them to completely eradicate all sickness from Jeff's body. Strengthen Jeff and his wife and give them the time and resources they need to continue to care for the precious children which you have given to them. Thank you for your love Lord and your provision and your mighty power. Thank you for the privilege to call on you in our times of need. I pray all of this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
