Today is really the first official day of my leave. I'm hearing the voice of Elvis in my head singing "There'll Be Peace in the Valley..." Thank you, thank you very much.
I've got some books ready, my Bible, a pen and a journal book. I'm armed. Oh--and I've thrown schedule completely out the window at least for this week. I'm thankful--SO THANKFUL--for this time.
Have a great day everyone!

Although we love your blog, know that you don't "need" to do this for us. If taking a break includes a sabbatical from your blog church also, we will survive! Note, that I said a sabbatical, not MIA!
Rest well, play hard!
Bless you, my brother.
I'm with Arlene -- we can survive a while without blog posts. But when you do get around to it -- those of us that struggle to relax would love a "how-to": for instance, are you without schedule in your own home? Are you going to a specific retreat location? (While your home sounds like it has the potential to be a lot of fun right now, I doubt it's very restful! :-) I'm curious. . .!
With no schedule, does that mean we could have lunch next week when I am in Nashville??
so jealous
Be refreshed.
BST-
Blessings on your time-off. I hope and pray that it will be filled with both physical relaxation and physical rejuvenation. You are a blessing to many and this time will ultimately help many others as much as it will help you.
Father, bless Brandon in this time of rest. Give him time to focus on you, your Will, your Word and your Work, even as he takes a break from his "job". Refresh him, encourage him and revive him. Bless his family through him, and give them all a true spirit of joy and peace. Move in Brandon's heart in a powerful way during this time so that he will not feel the pull of his work and obligation. Most of all Lord, I pray that you will let Brandon know during this time that he is loved and appreciated for all that he IS, not just all that he DOES.
Father, thank you for bringing Brandon into my life. And thank you for Jesus, who gave His life to make us all part of your family. Amen!
