Last night was fun! Phil did a great job and it was so fun to watch him with his original band members. They had a great time together. Phil invited his friend, Caitlin, to join him as well. She has homes in Nashville and L. A. and just happened to be in town. She blew my mind! WOW! When I get to Heaven, I want to play fiddle like that. She is on the road with a couple of different artists. We were blessed to have her last night. And, as always, Phil blessed us. I love that guy. He has a great heart and is so incredibly gifted. Here are some pics from our night...

If you could play any instrument (other than what you currently play-- if you do) what would it be?

My answers-- the fiddle and the oboe. I know, random. I've always loved the oboe. What about you? What do you wish you could play?

I would play the french horn...one of the most beautiful instruments when played correctly. I agree on the oboe, too.

An anonymous commenter just wrote in asking, "So, was that worship?"

I meant to publish your comment but hit the wrong button...sorry!

I would say... ABSOLUTELY!

Fiddle for sure.... I had an older brother who died 11 years ago who was an awesome fiddler. I cannot hear good fiddle music without thinking of him.

And for a second.... probably trumpet or sax. I played French horn for 3 years in middle school/junior high, so trumpet would be fairly easy to learn.

guitar and cello. and also the ability to do more than just bang out a few notes on piano.

phil is one the greatest live musicians i've ever seen. and yes, i agree...it is worship. amazing.

It would have to be the Sax. Besides that I would say the clarinet.

The oboe? Seriously - that instrument always reminds me of someone talking with nasal congestion. Our friendship may end if you take up the oboe...especially if you used it to play the song "Ancient of Days". You know you miss me...! :) Much love! Shmee

Saxophone for me. To be MUCH better on piano would be second.

It actually is a goal of mine to go to music school for guitar, though, which is my main instrument.

Played clarinet in Jr. High and High School and while it was okay, I always wanted to change to the flute or oboe. I really wish that I had changed to the oboe.

However, now I wish, after all these years that I could play a keyboard. I know music and read music, just can't seem to get the left hand to cooperate with the right hand!

I also want to comment, why not worship? Since worship is a personal thing, how could someone ask that anyway?

Of course I realize they may be trying to tie in the fact that it was instrumental and so how could it be worship? If that is the case, I want to let you know that I worship God with all my being in everything I do, with all types of implements/instruments!

Sorry, I just had to rant a minute!

Caitlin Evanson is one of the coolest people I know. She and I used to play worship together at various church and ministries in Bellingham, WA. She's got a SCREAMING good voice to boot, and it one of the most infectious, joyful people to be around. I'm glad you got to meet her.

Did you say there was a guitarist, there, too? :-)
