Isn't she a hottie?? WOW! How did I manage marrying someone like Sheryl? Today is Sheryl's birthday. She is a Godly woman. She has weathered many storms in her life. She has blessed more people than she could ever know. She is a real friend to people. When Sheryl is in your life you know you can count on her tenderness, her sensitivity to good and right things, her kindness, her passion for Jesus and her genuine heart. I have been the beneficiary of those things for many years now. I am a much better person and Jesus follower because of her influence in my life. (and did I mention that she's hot??)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHERYL!!

If you'd like to send your own message of birthday greetings, you can email her at sherylthomas@earthlink.net.

We are rehearsing with ZOE tonight for recording again this weekend. It's also GMA week and the Dove Awards tonight. I am trying to go to a few things related to GMA this week, but it's a hard week to be out of the office after being gone. I hope you are all having a blessed day. It's a special day to celebrate a rare gift in my life. How has Sheryl blessed you?

Well, here's a strange one...Sheryl is part of the reason I'm in Worship Ministry today! Back in her Autumn days at MCC(while I was still in high school), that group really made an impression on me, she did this awesome version of "I love you, Lord" with Jessica Pell that everyone tried to copy for years, that got me interetsted in going to Rochester (MCC), I was able to join Autumn, got further involved in Acappella music, and now years later, work as a Worship Minister. She was even a blessing to a dorky high schooler 13 years ago :-) Oh, yeah, and I think all us guys had crushes on her :-) LOL

Wow...that was quite a run-on sentence :-)

ditto to what Ed said. The most moving part of the conference. And her angelic voice on all the Zoe recordings blesses me daily!

How did you get someone like her indeed.

Well, she's a great woman and a singer and mom.

Must be something about women named Sheryl Lynn.

Brandon, you are indeed lucky. But to quote Bernie Arnold when someone was commenting at her wedding reception (I think) about how lucky she was in reference to Bud, she shot back, "Well Bud is pretty lucky too!"

Sheryl is lucky too.

Your friend Tony

Few people in this world can give me chills or bring me to tears simply by their ability to sing. Sheryl is one of those people. Truly one of the most beautiful, soulful voices I've ever heard.

How has Sheryl blessed me ... let's see ... a few things come to mind: her honesty, her hospitality, her listening skills, her wacky sense of humor, her humility, her artless charm (by that I mean there's nothing fake to be found in her), and in more recent years -- what a joy to watch her as a mother. Oh, yes, and her voice, too ... but she'd be a special one with or without that.

thank you to everyone for your sweet comments! And thank you to my husband for enlisting them! I, too, am lucky.

The beauty of her voice inspires me. As my husband puts it when I'm listening to Eastmountainsouth's version of "So Are You To Me" or ANY other version of a ZOE song, he says "Sheryl's voice is MUCH better than that." Enough said. Keep singing. OH - and we ALL wonder how you can maintain breath control to record the new ZOE CD in your current condition!

I remember when I took a youth group to ACU for something and Sheryl belted out "Shine Jesus Shine," and it simply blew me away.

Happy birthday

Sheryl has blown me away with the passion and integrity she brings to her singing. "Redeemer" never did much for me until ZOE recorded it, and Sheryl gave it a life that it had never had for me. Her humility when complimented is so graceful, but it's clear that she revels in the worship God gets when she pours out her talents for Him.

Praise God for how Sheryl and Brandon, together with the rest of the ZOE team, help carry us into worship!

I'm only one of the many thousands who are grateful to Sheryl for allowing God to use her voice. What a powerful gift that continues to change lives! Thank you! Happy Birthday!

She is not as hot as you are! Happy b-day!

Strip away all the outward "stuff"... the physical beauty, the angelic voice, and you would still have an amazing and beautiful woman.

Sheryl doesn't put her trust in those things, but in a God that sustains her and continues to make her beautiful in His sight. She is a wonderful mother and a beautiful wife and a precious child of God. That's what makes her so beautiful.

Happy Birthday, my friend.

Get a blog name. For the love. Are you to be impressed by what? What a completely dumb thing to post on this. Um--yeah, be impressed. Somehow, with all my faults, God blessed me with a woman like Sheryl. If that's not awe inspiring about the mercy of God, I'm not sure what is.
