Tuesdays are always filled with meetings. Today is no exception. I am also trying to figure out what we're recording this weekend. We'll be going back in the studio Friday night. We're working on an arrangement of Living Prayer and another Fernando Ortega hymn. I am still open to ideas. Finding songs with this theme has been very difficult.

Tonight we are going to Nashville Star. You can watch it on the USA network at 9 central standard time. I am excited to see what it's like!!

Have a great day, bloggers. Please feel free to share ideas on songs as you get them.

Hey Brandon,
What about the song,
"More Than Enough" by Chris Tomlin or "Trading My Sorrows"
Just a few thoughts

Maybe you've recorded this in the past, but your theme made me think of Andy Park's Multiply Your Love from the All I Need Vineyard Canada CD (2002). It's a great song.

Here are the lyrics:
Multiply your love through us
To the lost and the least.
Let us be your healing hands
Your instruments of peace.
May our single purpose be
To imitate your life
Through our simple words and deeds
Let love be multiplied. (CHORUS)]

CHORUS
Let us see Your kingdom
To the poor and broken ones
Let us see a mighty flood
Of justice and mercy, O Jesus
Let love be multiplied.
Let love be multiplied.

Multiply your love through me
To someone in need
help me Lord to freely give
This grace that I've received
Let my single purpose be
To imitate Your life
Through my simple words and deeds
Let love be multiplied. (CHORUS)

Multiply your church through us
To the ends of the earth
Where there's only barrenness
Let us see new birth
Use us as Your laborers
Working side by side
Let us see Your harvest come
Let love be multiplied. (CHORUS)

I think it would sound alright accapella - we kind of do an echo in the chorus - I can't remember if he does that on the CD or not.

The other suggestion I thought of was Hope for the Nations, but I see you did that already. :) Hope that helps!

Brandon, everything I love seems so hard to do Acapella, but you may find a way...

"Hold You High" by By The Tree on Hold You High CD

"The Beauty of Simplicity" by telecast on the Beauty of Simplicity CD

"A New Day" by Andy Osenga on Caedmon's Chronicles CD

"He Reigns" by Newsboys on Adoration (the music video for this is so awesome!)

All of these songs have implications for Incarnational Living I believe. Arlene Kasselman

Hey, Brandon --

I forgot the theme of the new recording you are working on. But what about One Pure and Holy Passion from Passion's One Day Live disc? I think it would work in a cappella. The only question is at the end of the first two phrases. I think that could be dealt with. And, hey, you could give the women a lead in the echo! :) Just raise the key from what they have it in, okay?

Re: the CD of the drama or service... that would be great when you have time (your last post). I'm glad it was a blessing. I'll send you my address.

Blessings!

We did a new hymn in church this past Sunday called "In The Cross Alone I Glory". Randy said it was written recently by a local woship minister. It starts at about 26:10 on the the Easter service video at http://www.pclive.org/. Beautiful song.....
