The doctors brought even better news this afternoon. Jonathan seems to be breathing on his own--really a miraculous improvement. They hope to take the ventilator out tomorrow. Nicole sounded encouraged. It was a much more joyful phone call than the one last night. Thank you so much for your prayers and concern for this family.
Here's a picture of us at the Cope's house last week. Chris was looking good and even able to get up and walk a bit.
Here's a picture of one of the nights we led in the coliseum.
Have you guys listened to any of Rob Bell's sermons? Please do. I love to hear him speak. Check out some sermons to download here and enjoy!
Here's one more site to look at: alternative worship
I'd love to hear some feedback from some of those things.

Bell's passion for really following Jesus is so infectious that I've been tempted to move to Grand Rapids.
Not being able to do that, if you give him a try, definitely listen to the Directions series for great thoughts on how church can be done.
The Salvation of Our Stuff made me reconsider my attachment to my stuff and responsibility to those in need.
Revolutionary Christmas blew me away by putting Jesus' birth into its context even better than Philip Yancey did with The Jesus I Never Knew.
First and foremost, praise God for Jonathan's improvement. One of the things I love about the church in general (and blogworld in specific) is that prayers can be offered up for one person by friends of friends of friends of friends. And God hears them all. I pray that there is continued progress in Jonathan's health.
I want to thank you for posting the pictures. It's cool how quickly those have taken on the feeling of a family album...especially the one from Mike's house.
Praise God for His faithfulness-and prayers continue to be fervently lifted up from here on Jonathan's behalf! Look forward to more good news as God continues to heal...
I am naturally drawn to sites like emergingchurch and alternativeworship.org - and the challenges it raises (the balance between my small Kansas town church and reaching college students, the motivation to do it for the right reasons and not because it is different or cool, how to use it to reach people with out distracting them, etc.). But it also challenges me to see the more dynamatic, creative, simple, and so many more sides of God that we often don't see and experience. All things that I am takinginto account as I plan our retreat and upcoming devo in complete silence (yes college kids can be silent for and hour and a half).
Hey BST! the altworship.org site is awesome! I posted a link to it and your blog on my blog. Blessings, Rob Still http://robstill.typepad.com/worship/
