Words simply fail in describing what we've just been through. What a powerful weekend. I think I was at max capacity in my brain and heart after the leadership conference. McClaren completely rocked. Then the weekend kicked off and it was almost like a Spiritual and emotional binge! Mercy!

I am completely worn out. I have a lot I want to say about the conference, but it must wait until tomorrow or Tuesday when I can be a little more coherent.

This morning we'll have many guests at our place from the conference. We've already been extremely crowded. It will be interesting to see if we can squeeze people in. Phillip is helping me lead today. My cold got better but decided to settle in my throat over the weekend. I am feeling fine, but just a little froggy.

Wow--can I say that again?! This year was special. Sheryl and I were discussing it. There was something about it that seemed more authentic, down to the nitty gritty, and honest than other years. I even feel like I got good QUALITY time with people--unheard of in settings like that. I just praise the Lord. He is so good to us. THANK YOU, Lord for your provision and feeding this week. I love belonging to You!

HAAAAAA! Busted. OK--What in the heck was wrong with me talking about a tick in my final comments at the ZOE Conference. I was clearly, CLEARLY, dilerious. I will never live that down...thanks to my good buddies on the ZOE team and to friends like Doyle. Thanks, Doyle.

I think the tick comment pretty summed up how we all felt. So full that one more drop would cause us to explode. Needless to say it will be another point we will not forget.

I wanted to thank you too for Sunday morning at Otter Creek. I know it would be easy to "let down" after such a weekend, but it was obvious that you all did not. It was wonderful to engage in worship with so many people who authentically love the Lord. Thanks for your part in leading that.

So many good parts of the weekend. Brian McLaren was a highlight, of course. Challenging in all the good ways.

I will have to say that my favorite part was the lady who did the sign language during the worship parts. To say there's no dancing in the CofC is wrong.

She was dancing and dancing unto God. Watching her worship was beautiful and to see what words like Hallelujah and others that I'm so familiar with but never seen before was simply exsquisite.

Brandon, in what you and Sheryl were talking about the authenticity of the weekend. My Sheryl and I discussed the same thing and decided that it was the theme of the weekend that did it.

In calling it Desperation, we all admitted by being there that we are desperate. We admitted that we had problems and could only go to God and each other to relieve them. We admitted our weaknesses and embraced them to be filled with God and His Spirit.

Brandon, let me pay you the highest compliment I can think of. God used you well. You, the ZOE Worship team, the ZOE support team (Eric and all the volunteers), the speakers, the other worship leaders, the Maxwells,... all the planning you put into it was used by God to make an impact on a lot of people. I know that I got a couple of major things out of it, one for my church, and one for me.

God showed up.... actually, He was waiting for us to show up, and He got through, thanks to the gifts He gave all of you, and the work He called you all to put into it.

GLORY TO GOD!!!

Brandon,
I wanted to introduce myself to you at Zoe, but you always seemed to be mobbed by people. We have a lot of friends in common. I spent a lot of time this weekend with one such friend from the southwest. He's had an incredibly difficult year for reasons you know about. I just wanted you to know how much you and your team ministered to him.

I understand you may be coming to Atlanta to help a church with their worship team. Perhaps when you're down here we could meet face-to-face.

My wife and I were blessed and challenged (again) to be at the ZOE conference. Thanks for all you did to make it an incredible experience!

I want to invite you (and anyone else) to my new blog - http://mlpolutta.blogspot.com/ - your blog is part of the inspiration for my venture into this world (wide web).

Blessings to you and your family!

Brandon, A truly amazing weekend! Thanks for all the ways that Zoe "abunda-sizes" us while we are there. One thing about ticks, they drink till they drop....I think our group was pretty close! We enjoyed worship at Otter Creek and I enjoyed visiting with you there as did my son Brandon. Blessing... Mark Moore, Bloomington, Il.

Slight update. My blog is michaelpolutta.blogspot.com - sorry for the confusion.

Brandon, I'd really like to start a dialog with you about worship ministry as a career. Can we take that offline? Let me know and I'll email you directly. Thanks! (either way)
