YEEE-HAWWW! Donald Miller is officially coming to Otter Creek on August 22nd. We will be printing tickets and advertising in the community, but pass the word out to your friends. The last time he was here he sold out the Belcourt Theater twice in one night. I know it will be a wonderful evening.
His topic will be Romeo and Juliet and the Gospel of Jesus. We'll begin with worship with the band and he'll speak for a while and he wants to end with communion so we're planning to do some stations like we do on Wednesday nights. Afterwards, he'll take Q&A. Stephen--you should come.
Last night we went to the new Target in our neighborhood. The girls have been so excited to go. We got exciting things like dish washing soap and rear view mirror adhesive. (Yes, it's still in my back seat) Ella still says, "This little piggy went to 'Target'" I love it.
Sheryl and I have a date night tonight, thanks to Kiki! WE are going to one of our favorite places--Houston's. We are SO bummed that it is closing next month. We'll have to find a new anniversary place.
This weekend Michael Ewing gets married and I am singing. Another wedding and more time away from what I truly love to do on the weekends--spend time with my kids. However, I know it will be a special day and I really love Michael. I wouldn't want to miss it.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

...trying...not...to...be...jealous...
ae
I... think... you're... failing...
I'm not familiar enough with Don Miller to comment but I will comment on the Target reference. Love me some Target!!! I love that store. My wife shops at the Wal-Mart down the street from our house but deep down I wish she shopped at Target!! So vain I know. Enjoy your experiences there - they will be many I'm sure.
That's weird because I had the following dream last night:
You, Sheryl, Kim, myself, and Don Miller were sitting around discussing how cool Jesus was over a couple X2's and we were laughing and I was preaching and you were singing and Kim and Sheryl were laughing so hard and Don was smoking a pipe and telling us jokes and how he was going to write his next book about how cool we all were and that he wished we lived in Testosterhome with him...
Weird huh?
Okay, so I made that up. But hey, by then Kim and I might actually be homeless and have to come stay a few months with you and the girls at the air matress motel.
"That's what I'm talking about"
I just finished that book. Fascinating. Let me knw how that goes.
What a small little C of C world we live in! I was just looking back at your pictures and saw Emily who I was dear friends with in high school. I have lost touch with her and am so sad.
By the way, I am good friends with Steph and MK. And...Robyn W. has been a dear friend to our family since I was a little girl.
Yes, a very small world....
YEE HAW is right! You know we want to be there! We'll talk soon. The Voss' might want to come too. We'll talk soon.
I'm jealous too! I just finished Searching for God Knows What and loved the last few chapters and speficically the parts about Romeo and Juliet! It really was a new visual for me regarding the way Christ loves us and wants to be in relationship with us! Don was in Austin a while back but I didn't get to see him. Happy Anniversary! Jana Graves
P.S. love reading your blog! Your passion and excitement translate even in writing! And I love the pictures!
